Health Careers Program

The health industry will generate 3 million new wage and salary jobs between 2008 and 2018, according to government data. And, with the American Careers Health Careers Program, students will get an inside look at these jobs, use academic knowledge to solve problems and develop critical-thinking and decision-making skills. Components of the program are:

• A 64-page student publication that covers occupations in five Health Science career cluster pathways
• A Student Projects Book with 53 projects based on life events that require a medical response
• An online Teaching Guide with teaching notes and lists of related National Healthcare Foundation Standards and career cluster knowledge and skills
